President Ken Gorton welcomes the newest Compatriot, Karl Meer of Pittsburgh, into the Chapter.

Compatriot Karl Meer receives the SAR Rosetta from his wife, Susan Gillett Meer, Regent of the
John Ferree DAR Chapter.

President Ken Gorton presents Certificate of Distinguished Service to Morgan Meer, member of
Parkinson's Ferry Society of C.A.R. for her initiative to collect and distribute 126 Webkinz toys to
the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Parents Karl & Susan and brother Everett join in.

President Ken Gorton presents Compatriot Scott M. Helfrich with the Meritorious Service Medal and Certificate in recognition of his contribution to the Chapter in designing and developing the
Chapter website, expanding the technology initiatives, enhancing our communication
capabilities, and collaboration with historical organizations.

President Ken Gorton and former NSSAR VP General Marshall Lignian present to Clay Kilgore
of the Washington County Historical Society a Chapter painting from the 1980's of the last
Toll House on the National Road [Route 40] near West Alexander, PA.

President Ken Gorton presents Certificate of Recognition to Clay Kilgore, curator of the
Washington County Historical Society for its role in the preservation of local history in
maintaining historical sites and artifacts, educational programs, and research.
